Winter Cleaning

So today I took the day off because I was not feeling well. It was really quite strange how it happened. Yesterday I worked 10am-8pm and I was feeling totally fine ALL day long! Went shopping with my RM, gossiped with the Store Admin. and everything and then around 5pm, all of a SUDDEN I felt like I had a fever! It was weird. Then I asked people to touch my forehead to see if I felt hot and they said that I definitely had a fever. Driving home, I felt all weird... almost as if I was dizzy. It was not good. I woke up at 5:45am this morning, took a shower and got dressed and ready. But right before I was about to leave, I had a sudden urge to throw up. So I decided right then and there that I would not go to work since I felt like barfing and had a headache.

So what did I end up doing the entire day you ask? Well.. let me share that with YOU! hahaha

I woke up at 2pm. Since I was technically already dressed and ready (because I did that at 6am)... I brushed my teeth again and then sat around the house for about half an hour. Then I got hungry so I decided that I would head out to get something to eat. First I went to WaMu to deposit a check, then I headed over to Starbucks for a Venti Iced Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha, after that I went to CVS to buy some necessities (contact solution, nyquil, and dayquil), and home I went.

After I ate I felt like I wanted to do something really productive since I was off and wasting my day away. So I decided to clean my closet and completely organize it! I changed everything around a bit. Cleaned out the shoe closet in the entryway of the house to make room for my other shoes that I have in my closet in my room. Switched around some drawers and voila! Everything was PERFECT! That is.. until I turned around and realized that my underwear was sitting in a pile on my floor with no drawer to go into!

At that point, I decided that when Chris got off of work, I would make him take me to the Container Store to get a drawer and a hook that hung over my door. AND that we did! :-) He came and picked me up. We went to The Container Store in Old Town and I got these two items....
this hangs over my door and is currently holding my robe, pashminas, scarves, and jacket....

i only purchased one of these drawers but they are actually quite cool because I can have those steel legs or i can put them under the drawer so that they are stackable!!! Fabulous... this is now where I keep my underwear! Hooray!

After we went to the Container Store, we headed back to Arcadia to eat some Korean BBQ and Tofu. Got our usual, then went to Starbucks to get some tall Peppermint Hot Chocolates and off to Target we went. This is what I got there....

Both these DVD's were $7.50. I had Love Actually but turns out that I left the DVD out and got some sort of liquid on it.. anyway.. it won't play now. So I had to throw it away and buy this new one. Edward Scissorhands... I LOVED this movie when I was a kid. I used to watch it every single day on VHS... it's awesome! :-) I also bought a Marie Claire and X-mas Cards which I do not like and will be returning ASAP!

So that concludes my day. OH! Chris and I did drive up to Sierra Madre/Pasadena to see the Christmas lights but I guess it was too late because most of the houses had turned off all their lights... maybe some other night when we're not out so late we'll go back driving again.

I'm super excited though because tomorrow I get to go to this Sample Denim Sale thing-y with Christy and her sister. Should be exciting!!! Hope I find some good deals on denim. Maybe I'll finally be able to find some skinny jeans! woo~hoo!

ELF!!!

So since it's the holiday season, I just HAD to watch "Elf" today. But the sad part is that I also wanted to watch "Love Actually".... and then I found out that it's all scratched and won't worked. Okay, so it's not exactly scratched... more like some water or some liquid substance got on the DVD and not it won't come off no matter how much i wipe so I had to throw the DVD away. I guess it's a good excuse to go to Amoeba or something and buy a new copy. :-)

Last week was filled with many L.A. trips. First, Chris took me to Tender Greens to get a yummy chicken sandwich on Monday. Then on Wednesday we went to the Century City mall and went shopping at Bloomingdales. I have realized that it is a really nice department store and I will be going back soon! Well, I have to because I bought some skinny jeans and they are way too small. Usually I'm a certain size and I just assumed that I gained some weight or something but after doing some research I have come to find that Paige Jeans tend to run smaller than usual... stupid Paige Jeans!!! Anyway, I have to go back sometime soon to exchange them for a bigger size. Then Chris and I went to The Grove to look at the holiday decorations that they had. Went to Nordstrom of course and walked around. Bought 3 sweaters that are exactly the same but different colors. What? I like them... A LOT. They're just BP brand crew neck long sleeved sweaters... so comfy! I got it in black (I already have one but I love it THAT much..), green and cream.
Then after that we ate at Lala's. I got my usual... skirt steak with mashed potatoes and rice. Then we walked on over to Pinkberry... haven't been there in awhile AND there was NO LINE! But it was also freezing cold that night. Here are pictures from The Grove and Chris at Lala's.

The past 2 days that I have had off (Sunday and today) I really haven't done much. Chris has worked BOTH days which means that I have to find other ways to entertain myself.

On Sunday I woke up at 2pm! I had 12 hours of sleep! Craziness... then I just bummed it around the house all day until about 6pm. At that time I think I went over to Chris' house and we got something to eat and watched One More Day, some Oprah Special that sucked on ABC... and then we saw the season premieres of The Girls Next Door and that Snoop Dogg show. They were both okay.

Today was semi-productive... I woke up at 10:30am because of cramps. Went online... then took a shower and hung around the house. Got subway for lunch. Then went to drop off some clothes/shoes at Goodwill and after, headed to the mall to get a mani/pedi. Got that done... met Dede and my mom at Nordstrom and did some more Christmas shopping. After that I bummed it at home until now! Somewhat of an eventful day right? hehehe

Turkey Day!

So reading Christy's blog from her post yesterday has inspired me to post on this thing... hahahaa.

Let's see... what have I been up to lately...

On Monday I had the day off. I slept in until 2pm and then got up to get ready to go eat lunch with Chris. He picked me up, and then we went to eat at Casa Del Rey where I got a cheese enchilada with rice & beans and a cup of tortilla soup. Chris got chicken fajitas which actually looked really tasty and had some yummy guacamole with it too. After that, we decided to kill some time before Christy was ready and went to the mall to buy a sweater for Chris since he thought he might be cold at the Car Show. So we walked through JC Penny and went to Gap. We found him a nice grey/black stripped sweater and then after that we went to a shoe store called Ruze to find me some sneakers. But they didn't have my size.. :-( So I ended up just getting some flip flops. After that we just walked around aimlessly throughout the mall making small pitstops wherever we felt like we wanted to. Then we went to Starbucks to recharge ourselves and got 2 peppermint white chocolate mochas (my new FAVORITE!!!)... and left on our way to Christy's house.

Christy drove us to the LA Auto Show at the LA Convention Center. There was surprisingly like.. no one there, so we got really good parking next to the entrance AND this nice man gave us free complimentary tickets that he got from his job so we got to get in for FREE!!! woo~hoo! That was pretty nice of him. We walked in and went into the first room which had the Infinitis, Audi, Mini Cooper, BMWs, and a whole mess of other cars. Then we went into the fancy car room and saw cars that were worth HOUSES! After that we walked across the bridge to this other room which had the Toyotas, Hondas, and stuff like that. OOOOH! In the Toyota area, they had a photo booth that you got to take pictures in for FREE! It was awesome... Christy and I took 2 and then I made Chris join us and we took 2 more! muahahaha...

Before we left, we went into the fixed up car room. That was pretty interesting. We saw the million dollar Mercedes ... it was covered in crystals... pretty bling bling. Pictures of it are in my album below.

Then it was off to get something to eat. AT PINK'S! Woo~hoo! My favorite. It was our lucky night because first we got free tickets to the auto show and there were hardly any lines or waiting for anything and THEN we get to Pink's and there are like... 8 people in line! SCORE! hahaha... we did still have to wait a bit but at least it wasn't as long as it usually is. We got our food... scarfed it down because we were all pretty hungry and then headed home!

Tuesday I worked from 11-8. Then went to Tofu House with Chris to get some Spicy Pork. After we picked up Christy and went to Pinkberry in Old Town. Yum. Got my usual Medium Green Tea with Almonds, Mangos, and Yogurt Chips.... tasty...

Wednesday had work from 6:30am-2pm. It was NOT fun waking up but the day seemed to fly by pretty fast. Took more more than 2 hours to get home... HORRIBLE! Came home.. ate my leftovers from Tofu House and then knocked out until 9pm when I finally woke up. Drove out to Chris' to watch some of my TiVo'd shows because I was bored. Ate Burger King and Ice cream... great combination... fell asleep. Woke up at 2am at his house and then left to go home so that I could sleep at home.. Came home, got ready and knocked out! woo~hoo!

TODAY I woke up at 1:30pm.. lounged around and cleaned my room a bit. Then I showered and now I'm all ready to go to my sister's house to have Thanksgiving Dinner! I'm a bit hungry but I know if I eat something now, I will NOT be that hungry when I get to my sister's house so we shall wait. That's basically my plan for today.. to just eat and come home... rest and then go to SLEEP! I have the unfortunate job of waking up at 4:30am to go to work by 6am for those crazy Black Friday Shoppers. Thank GOD Nordstrom does not have any sales or anything like that so I don't have to deal with the wackyness of it all.

Aching Feet....

It seems that while I was typing in my title... I had already used that name before!!! Oh well... my feet do hurt pretty damn bad. I've been working since last Tuesday for the November Half Yearly Sale. Almost every day since then I've been working at least 10-12 hours each and every day. I'm incredibly tired... which probably explains why I woke up at 2pm today.. hehehee. That felt very nice. I also fell asleep last night without brushing my teeth, without taking off my glasses, and without turning off the lights in my room! Can you believe I was THAT tired? And usually I'm the one busting Chris' balls for not remembering to brush his teeth at night because he gets too tired... ahahhaa. I'm a stickler for that. So when I woke up this morning I had a horrible sore throat... HORRIBLE! So NOW I am taking that as meaning that I NEED to brush my teeth every freaking night or I'll get another horrible sore throat. It's also really hot today so maybe that's why. Supposidly, according to Chris, I sometimes sleep with my mouth opened... so that might explain why my throat was hurting and dry this morning...or afternoon... hehehehe

So anyway... I haven't really purchased too many things for the sale. I just got a plain black v-neck sweater. Pretty good huh? but I'm really waiting for the day that I get 40% off merchandise because THEN I can get these shoes that I want that are also on sale right now AND I'll have my paycheck for this payperiod which better be somewhat good since I've been working so much OT and I sold a little bit better than usual... but not that much better unfortunately. But yes... I am very glad to be having a lazy day today. It is 4pm and I have not changed out of my pj's, nor have I taken a shower yet. I kind of wish that I had gone outside today since it seemed like a very nice sunny day, but I'm just too lazy. hehehehe

Other than the sale that's been going on, I haven't really been doing much at all. I had dinner with Chris last night at Kabuki... yum... where we had the weirdest waiter EVER... only because he kept talking about random stuff and when I ordered my "tuna tartare" he called it "tuna tartarIE" like I was the stupid one pronouncing it wrong. Weirdo. Then Chris surprised me with a box of Scotch Kisses from See's Candies only because when I had gone earlier in the day during my lunch break at work, I had ordered some candy for my Regional Manager and Chris and while I was doing that I guess the lady didn't hear me saying that I wanted Scotch Kisses and that sucked big time because that was the only thing that I wanted for myself and everything else was for other people. So as I was walking back to work, opening up my See's Candies bag... I realized... that she had forgotten to give me MY candy!!! Damn it... Anyway... then we went to 24 hour WalMart because I needed a heater. Turns out though, we bought the wrong one that was sitting NEXT to the one that I wanted. I want one with a timer and maybe a remote.. that would be even nicer... but a timer would be fantabulous!!! So that's what I've been doing.

I just cleaned my room right now and I'm contemplating on doing laundry. Went to Pismo Beach last weekend which was very relaxing and very fun. I really enjoy going there and being able to hang out with Christy and Chris. Short version of what we did (because I'm horribly lazy).... had breakfast at a nice little cafe, went outlet shopping in Pismo, slept, ate at Jocko's, watched tv, ate at Splash Cafe, Walmart run, and a visit to the Madonna Inn... and that is about it I think. Oh, Chris did get a flat tire while we were driving on surface streets to get to the freeway. It wasn't too bad though. The towing guy didn't take THAT long to get there and after driving around trying to find a place to get new tires we decided to just take the donut home... which actually made it the whole way.. WITH a stop at Camarillo for some more outlet shopping... hehehe. Then we ate KBBQ and Tofu and that was the end of our trip.

Saving Money & Shopping!

Wow! I haven't updated in a long time and I know I have A LOT to update on, but I'm a little too lazy on that... I just wanted to update on my shopping excursions lately... which really aren't very many. Sad but true...

Anyway, on Sunday I got to sleep in until 1:30pm and then I sat around the house waiting for my sister to bring me lunch from Carl's Jr. I got the fish sandwich which is actually quite tasty and then I sat in front of my computer watching "Gossip Girl." I absolutely LOVE that show. It's weird though, it's almost like I think the characters are too mean and it makes me mad, but at the same time.. I can't stop watching it! It's crazy... hahahaa. Anyway, after that I took a shower and got ready to head out to Riverside to visit Chris at work. I stopped by the local Coffee Bean and got a vanilla ice blended to keep me awake for the long drive out there. Took me about 45 min- an hour, I don't remember... and then I finally got there! woo~hoo! I went in, said hello to my stepfather Carl and then off he went. So then I walked around... looked at shoes, then went upstairs to TBD to take a look around since Chris was busy with a customer... and this is the stuff that I found and ended up purchasing!!! I'm so excited... hahahaah

Item #1:Now I think that this picture does not do the jeans justice... they look waaaay better in person. This picture makes it look really really weird. Anyway, I'm getting them hemmed tomorrow and that's always the scary part because I'm scared that they'll either make it toooo long or too short, and either way, that's horrible right? But yes, I did get those because I've been wanting a new pair of jeans for a very long time and I really like the dark wash! Plus, I need some jeans to wear for every day... well, I also need some for heels but really, how many times do I dress up THAT much that I have to wear heels? Uh.. hardly EVER! So I won't be purchasing any jeans for that anytime soon....

Item #2:There are some Facade flats that I found in the BP Shoe Department. You can't tell in the picture but they're super padded on the bottom which means that they are super comfy! I got them in black and plan on wearing them to work since I have some black pants that I hemmed so that I could wear flats with them, yet I haven't found any comfy nice flats to wear until now!!! woo~hoo! Chris had to order them so they should be on their way shortly! :-)


I'm incredibly excited about my purchases. I have not really purchased too many things lately... ok, I lied. I HAVE purchased things lately but I don't purchase as much as I used to.. so that's good right? The bad thing is that now I purchase fewer but more expensive items... argh! Isn't that horrible? Seriously....

As long as it makes me semi happy right? hahahaa. I have been pretty good with saving money though.... I don't eat out for lunch as often... even though this week I'm pretty lazy and then I have been using this coffee card that my store manager gave me and then tomorrow I will be using one of those Merch Certificates that I got from work bc I spend way too much and will be using that to purchase coffee and lunch for the rest of the week until I get paid. See??? Saving money already... hahahahaa

I will update more tomorrow and with pictures from Knott's Scary Farm and maybe the wedding... even though Christy is my only reader and I know she's seen it already... ahahaha.. but commentary is always good right?

crappy day

so today has turned out to be a not so good day. first it started off with me waking up at my usual 5:15am to get ready for work. i get ready, straighten my hair (which i hardly ever do), put my clothes on, eat my breakfast, and then head off to work. i get there and i'm totally prepared to work, and then i look at the schedule... i freaking CLOSE. so i call my regional mgr. who tells me to call the other assistant and ask him if he could close. turns out he has ... YOGA. yeah... seriously. so i have to drive back home (which wasn't too bad) and then drive back at 2pm. so, i mean... that part really wasn't that bad. i got a good 3-4 hour nap in between and got to eat lunch and get coffee... not rushed at all, which is what i like.

so i'm thinking that today isn't going to be that bad of a day afterall. yeah, i had to wake up earlier than usual, but whatever.... i got to treat myself to peet's coffee and stuff so no big deal.

then i get to work... from 5 until closing it was nonstop cleaning. every time i'd clean something, a huge mess would end up somewhere else. then there were the racks that was a never ending cycle of picking up shoes. i finally just gave up and figured i'd have someone do it at the end of the night. it was a very stressful night tonight. i found myself straightening one of the racks and thinking to myself that i kind of wanted to cry a little. BUT... i will not allow myself to cry over work. that's nonsense. it doesn't deserve my tears, and even though i'm pmsing right now so i'm technically allowed to be a big baby and cry... i don't want to.

i was pretty good today at not yelling at anyone and just being really... mmm... authoritative i guess you can say. someone would just be stupid as heck and i'd just talk to them like i was their mom or something instead of saying what i really wanted to say which was "you dumbshit! what is wrong with you!" instead i said in a monotoned voice what i wanted them to do and just let it go from there and just watched them until they did it correctly. it's really crazy. i swear some of these people hate me, but it sucks to be them because i'm in charge now. hahaha.. me power tripping? never. i am to the point though where if someone pisses me off i write them up. so i guess you can say that i'm a pro at that now since i've already given 2 since my mgr left on saturday.

i have to be up at 5:15am again tomorrow and i have tons of stuff to do in the morning. i just hope i can finish it all and keep the department up and running. i know i can do it... and i refuse to disappoint anyone or let anyone down, but at the same time... it's all very stressful. *sigh*

oh well... time to watch some "elf" to make myself happy i suppose. good night.

I <3 Shopping

So this weekend has been pretty eventful. That's always good for an update!

Friday: Woke up at 10am to get ready to go to the Costa Mesa Rack with Christy. She got to my house around 11ish and then we headed to Coffee Bean to get some energy to shop! After it was off to Costa Mesa! We got lost a little bit, but it's okay... at least we had my cell phone which has googlemaps on it. So we finally made it there and then went straight to the Rack! We spent approximately 2 hours in that store, had 2 trips to the dressing rooms, and had a lot of fun! I got a really cute Marc Jacobs blouse, 2 really soft hooded sweaters, a pair of red shorts, some underwear, and a pair of running shoes for my mom. Christy got 2 really nice summer dresses and some underwear as well. Then after that we went to Boudin and got pasta salad and a pepperoni pizza to share. That was quite tasty. We stopped by PacSun where I got 4 tank tops since they were 2 for $20. Then we went to Best Buy to look at their DVD's and Apple computers. Headed home using my googlemaps which was actually pretty good since it has us avoid the 405 during rush hour traffic. Surprisingly we made it to Whittier in about 45 minutes with hardly any traffic at all! Met up with Christy's family and friends at this Italian Restaurant in Whittier where we had some really good halibut. Christy and I then went to Pinkberry in Old Town Pasadena and ate it while we shopped at H&M and Urban Outfitters. I, unfortunately, did not buy anything during this little trip but Christy got a really nice jacket!! It was totally worth it for her to get it even though it's freaking hot outside... ahhahaha

Saturday: Had to open this morning, so I worked from 8-5. Had a goodbye lunch for my manager at Islands, which was really good. I got a burger and fries. After work I headed over to Chris' house to say hello and get some ice cream. We did that and then lounged around his house until it was time to head out to Arcadia to have dinner with Christy! We picked up Christy and then went to Kabuki where we got our usual rolls and just sat and chit chatted. Of COURSE, we can never have a weekend where all three of us are together where we do NOT go to 24 hour Wal-Mart in Glendora. hahahaa... so that's where we went after dinner. We walked around the whole place and spent an hour in there... hahahaha. Christy got some necessities for her trip to Europe and I just got random junk that I needed. After that we headed home where I watched my Ugly Betty DVD that I purchased at WalMart until I knocked out around 4am...

Today: Woke up at 2:30pm... YES 2:30pm... that's simply ridiculous. I'm never going to wake up tomorrow morning to open the store. But anyway... so I finally got out of bed at 3pm, then I ate some food that my mom brought me... sat around and then fell BACK asleep at 3:30pm until 5:30pm. Woke up, got ready to go to Christy's house. Stopped by Baskin Robbins to get an ice cream cake for the BBQ and then off to Christy's house! Ate some yummy BBQ and then just lounged in her nicely air conditioned house for the rest of the night. Watched parts of Beer Fest and Narnia.... read some magazines... played with our DS Lites and our NintenDogs... and then headed home where I am now. I should be getting ready for bed soon. Hopefully I'll be able to get out of work early tomorrow so that I can get a pedicure with Christy before she heads off to Europe!

Aching Feet....

I'm getting better at updating!! woo~hoo!

So work is making me stressful... or maybe it's just pms. Either way, I get stressed for a couple of minutes every day when I go into work. It's just very frustrating to see everything all out of order and to know that there are people there who simply do not care at all about anything but themselves. But I guess that's just what happens....

My feet are starting to really hurt by the way. I'm trying really hard to find some nice comfortable shoes to wear to work. But it's super hard to find comfortable ones.

Can't wait to go to the Rack with Christy on Friday! Hopefully I'll find some good deals and maybe some more shoes? hahahahaa... I know I know Chris... I don't need everything, just something, and you know that I will find something, especially since I will be with Christy who is the queen of shopping and finding great deals at places like the Rack. So I'm looking forward to that this weekend. I also get Sunday off! It's awesome. I get to make the managers schedule since my manager will be gone, plus she was just way too damn lazy to do it herself, so I just wrote it and then we're pretending that she did it... ahahaha.. it's awesome. :-)

I haven't done anything since Monday. I've already run out of turkey meat and pickles for my sandwiches. Well, I guess I could've made it last until Thursday but I got hungry tonight and made a sandwich. but THEN the leftovers of turkey was just one slice, so I decided to just pile it onto my sandwich and then there were only like.. 2 pickle stackers left, so I figured I should just pile those on my sandwich too right? Oh no... after half that sandwich I was full. So now I have half a sandwich for lunch tomorrow.

My life isn't exciting at all.... I just wanted to update because I'm a little stressed and I want it to be Friday already so I can have the day off!!!

Today gets to be a "lazy Sunday" as Christy would call it.

This weekend I haven't really done much. On Friday I had to close and then on Saturday I had to be at work at 7am, so that didn't leave much of a Friday night. But since I was so wide awake after I got off of work, I stayed up until about 1am and then woke up at 5:30am... which was really hard.
Saturday I went to work in the morning. I stopped by the Arco next to my house and got a Full Throttle energy drink to keep myself entertained during the manager meeting we were having. It was quite boring. Then we had to get the department ready for opening. I actually did some selling, which I hardly ever do. It's just way too much work to sell something in my department. I don't really feel like running 2 flights of stairs just to get a $40 shoe. So I just walked around and floor watched a bit. Then I had thai food with Megan from Salon Shoes. I don't think I like that place we go to anymore. Every time I go there I feel like the waitress is watching what I eat and what I don't eat because before... I used to order the chicken pad thai but I would never eat the chicken, or the rice, or the vegetable eggroll that came with the special... all I would eat was the noodles. So then the lady would bring it up and would say that I could get vegetarian or ask for no eggroll... stupid shit like that. So now I get vegetable pad thai, no egg. It's not THAT bad, but I'd rather just have my usual chicken pad thai. I just want that chicken flavor in there, what's so wrong with that? hahahaa... I just don't like it when my chicken looks kind of weird, then I don't eat it! Anyway... then work ended and I fell asleep at home until 10pm. I woke up and went online. I read Christy's blog and it inspired me to clean my room. I organized my closet with one side being work clothes and the other side being casual clothes. I used to have it color coordinated but then when everything black is in one section, I can't really tell what is what.... so we'll see how this goes. Then I just sat around and talked online and talked to Chris. I fell asleep at 4am while watching The Holiday DVD... really bad acting by the way, but it's still kind of cute.

Today I woke up at 1:30pm then lounged around the house until my mom and sisters came home from lunch with some leftovers for me! Then I lounged some more until it was time for me to shower because Chris was going to come pick me up so that we could get coffee and run some errands together. First we went to Peet's Coffee where I got my usual iced vanilla latte and he got his triple espresso. Then we went to Target. He got a notepad for school and candy... while I got some candy and cereal (Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds). Then we went to Trader Joe's so that I could buy some sandwich stuff for my lunches this week. I got turkey, pepper jack cheese, yogurt, raspberries, blueberries, mintz, Arizona green tea in the individual boxes and this strawberry licorice that I saw on Mindy Ephron's blog. After that, we went to Handel's, this ice cream place... where I got Black Cherry Ice Cream in a waffle cone and Chris got cookies and cream (Christy, we should go here when you come home! It's homemade ice cream! Super tasty). Then we just lounged at Chris' house for a very long time, got dinner at this burger place called Legends, watched a new episode of the Girls Next Door then Chris took me home. Stopped by Ralphs though, so I could get lettuce, pickles and mustard for my sandwich..... that's it!

I should probably be sleeping soon because it's almost midnight and I have to be up by 5am but I don't want to! hahahaha

stressed and pmsing ... what a combo!

So as you can tell by my title up there, I am horribly stressed from work and pmsing at the same time. Which really is not any good for ANYONE who decides to either rub me the wrong way or anyone who is just plain stupid.... and trust me, there are a lot of them who I come in contact with at all times! But other than that.. .I'm doing okay!

This weekend, all I did was work. Actually, since I've been back from my mini vacation (which was last Thursday) I've been pretty much working opening shifts non-stop and I really don't like opening because I can't sleep. No sleep Susie = really cranky. So yes... let me re-cap what I've done these past couple of days...

Thursday: Was scheduled to work 8-5, but I worked 7-5 instead. Drove home and ate at Chipotle and Pinkberry with Chris at night. Then knocked out.

Friday: Scheduled again 8-5 but this day I worked 7-6. Drove home and fell asleep at 9:30pm.

Saturday: Worked 7:30-6. Took a super mini nap at home and then went to Pinkberry and Alfredo's with Chris. Then we stopped by Sav-On(or whatever it's called... I forgot ... oh! CVS!!!) to get some essentials. Then I ended my night to get ready for work the next day.

Sunday: Worked 7am-2pm laying out fixture id's for inventory. Pain in the butt I tell you. We've already gone through 2000 stickers and there's still more we have to put out! It's crazy how big the stockroom is and how many bins there are. Basically, every single shelf that we have shoes on, we have to put this sticker on it... and trust me, there are thousands upon thousands of shoes...!!

So yesterday I was pretty cranky in the morning because some people are just really really stupid. Well, I was fine in the morning but after seeing some of the people I work with.. I got really annoyed. They're just retarded. There's no other way for me to explain it. And THEN my manager expects me to do everything because she knows that I know... and basically, I'm the only person in that whole department who actually knows what I'm doing... it's ridiculous. So hopefully after today, which is inventory day, and after August 30, which is the first day of the Fall Sale... everything will be okay. I'm in charge of that sale too... lucky me huh? It's great....

Ok, enough complaining. I'm going to go eat lunch with Chris now before I have to go to work. Have a good day everyone! :-)

i looove being on vacation!

Wow, so I guess I didn't do a good job on updating this thing did I? Well... let's see what I have been up to...

I've been on a mini vacation since last Thursday. I started working on the new floor last Monday and it's been going alright, it's not that bad. It's nice to be working with my old manager, but at the same time it kind of sucks because I can't call out when I'm too lazy to go to work... or be lazy for that matter because I think that she expects me to do all this stuff... when in reality, I'm just lazy!!! But yes, I was only there for 3 days so I can't really say if I like it or not. I get to go back on Thursday so we'll see how everything goes from there.

Onto my vacation! Went to Grover/Pismo Beach over the weekend with Chris and Christy. Christy already wrote a pretty good blog on what we did, and I'd like to just copy and paste it all, but then that would be stealing wouldn't it? hahahaa... so I will write a little on what we did.

Thursday: Sat around the house all day. Ran some errands, packed, and waited for Chris to get off work so that he could pick me up. Headed out to Christy's condo. I, of course, fell asleep on the way there. Got to the area and picked up some dinner at good ol' McDonald's. Met Christy at the condo and we ate, watched tv, and chatted until it was time for bed.

Friday: Woke up and got ready to eat at Splash Cafe! Christy and I got the Clam Chowder Bread Bowl, which is THE best in the WORLD! Not because of the chowder but more because they toast the extra middle piece of the bread bowl and give it to you. It's so tasty to dip in the soup! yum! Chris was a party pooper and got a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. After that we walked around a bit and got some salt water taffy. Then we headed out to Coffee Bean to get some energy to go to the Pismo Outlets!! woo~hoo! Us girls shopped for about 2 hours while Chris just played solitaire on his phone and waited for us outside of the stores. Poor Chris.... me and Christy found stuff to buy, which is always a good thing! I got some Nine West peep toe black heels for $29.90 for work and 2 tank tops from Calvin Klein for $20.00. Christy got some really cute Converse Slip Ons with a satin strip on the tongue part, a tank top from PacSun and 2 tank tops from Calvin Klein. It was a good cheap shopping adventure. Everything we got was a good deal! so yay! After all the shopping we went to Vons to buy dinner ingredients for the next day and then went back to the condo and rested. Then we went to Jocko's in Nipomo. They had THE BEST steak EVER. It's this random steakhouse in the middle of nowhere, where the dining area looks like some where you would've eaten as a kid in the early 80's. The chairs and table are dark brown and the chairs are like the ones you used to sit in when you went to like a diner or something. It's really weird but the food is oh so good! AND you get ice cream and coffee at the end of the meal. It's really fantastic. Everyone should drive up there and eat it. You don't even need steak sauce for the meat.. it's THAT flavorful and good. yum! I believe we tried to find a video at Blockbuster, which we didn't succeed in doing, and then just went back to the condo and hung out.

Saturday: We woke up semi-early and headed out to Solvang!!! BUT before we did that, we saw Giada's Weekend Getaways on the Food Network and saw that she had gone to this mini horse farm near Santa Barbara. We looked it up online and found out that it was located in SOLVANG! woo~hoo!!! So we made a little pit stop there. The horses are sooooooooooo cute and soooooooo small!!! Christy wants to buy one and when she does, I'll invite everyone to her little farm and charge you a dollar to see the mini horse. hahahahaha.... anyway, we did that and then we went to the area in Solvang where it's all touristy and stuff. It was nice. We walked around and then rented a surrey! It was soooo tiring! I was sweating like no other! But that was pretty exciting. Then we ate at this cafe with outdoor seating and got sandwiches with country potatoes. Quite tasty. Then we drove home... lounged and then cooked dinner! I was in charge of the vegetables and Christy was in charge of bbqing the meat! All of it was yummy! Chris didn't have to do much but sit there and watch tv while us girls slaved away... hahaha.. jk. We didn't really... but still. After Christy and I went to Vons again because we wanted ice cream so we made sundaes! YUM! Then it was back to watching tv and resting. We're such bums! hahahaha

Sunday: Cleaned the condo a bit, then went to Pismo Beach to actually walk on the beach. Ate lunch at Mo's BBQ and had the best BBQ Pork Sandwich EVER! Christy got some garlic fries too which were pretty darn tasty. Got a carmel apple and sat on the beach just ppl watching and starting at ALL THE DOGS that were there. I swear, every single person in that area just HAS to have a dog.. it's ridiculous. Anyway... after that we dropped Chris off at the condo and then went on a search for a nail salon. Only ONE place out of the whole entire city was open on a Sunday... CRAZY! So we waited and drove around and then went back to get our nails done. It was very nice to sit in the spa chair and just relax. By the time that was done, it was almost 5pm so when we got back to the condo we cleaned some more, said our goodbyes and headed home!

Chris and I drove home... where I fell asleep again and stopped by at a McDonald's so I could use the restroom and get an ice cream cone. Then we went to The Pantry in Downtown LA and got some breakfast foods. Finally got home and crashed.

Monday: Went to Newport Beach with Chris to tan, Boudin's & Nordstrom Rack in Costa Mesa, miniature golfing at a place in Anaheim, Sonic's for a strawberry and watermelon slush, In-n-Out for dinner and then Chris' house to watch my tivo'd shows.

Today: got a facial/wax at Valerie's. Then I just bummed it the rest of the day until Chris got off work. He picked me up and we went to Pink's. The line was crazy long so I went and got Pinkberry to eat while I was waiting. Finally got to the front of the line and got our dogs and fries. Ate them and then headed out to 24 hour WalMart in Glendora to get a beach chair for tomorrow since we will be going to the beach again! woo~hoo!

mini golf!

I've been inspired to write in my blog thanks to Christy updating her blog, not once but three times for me... woo~hoo! (Thanks Christy! Your blogs keep me thoroughly entertained!!!)

Today I had a nice day off. Went to the optometrist (which I've been going to quite lately and it's starting to get super annoying!!!). I initially went because the one that I usually go to, well they didn't have time to see me on the day that I wanted to go... so I found this other place that is supposidly the "best in Pasadena." So I went and it turns out to be this like... huuuuuge optometry place with tons of people working.. almost like a huge clinic or kaiser or something. I mean, it's cool, but not at the same time. You don't get that personalized attention that you get when you go to a little asian optometrist located in Arcadia... I miss it... but oh well. I've already used my insurance money so I'm determined to figure out why my eyes hurts and why I get headaches... so each time I go in to get my contact follow-up, I tell them something is wrong and they are trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my eyes... hopefully next week will be my LAST appointment...

Then I decided to finally check out the new 24 Hour Fitness down the street from my house. It's really very nice but that's only because it's brand spanking new! I haven't gone to the gym in months.. so I decided to take it slow and was only on the treadmill for 25 minutes... but trust me.. it was really hard not to stop at like 10 minutes.

After that I came home, showered, and got ready to head over to Chris' house. I made a pit stop at Ten Ren to get a passion fruit green tea boba and then off to Claremont I went. Stopped by Arco to get some tortilla chips to eat with some salsa I left at Chris' and then lounged at his house until he came home from work. We ate at Tony Roma's and then went MINIATURE GOLFING!!! Duuuuude, I haven't gone mini golfing since my 18th birthday!!! (Remember that Christy?!?! Oh man.... that was sooooo long ago!) But anyway... I did really well in the beginning and I even got a HOLE IN ONE!!! It happened after I had already went, but since I did not know that I was supposed to WANT my ball to go into this little concave thing-y, I decided to try again and see if I could get my ball into that area.. and what do u know, I get a hole in one... so Chris counted that as me going only once. muahahaha... now, I think I won, but it could've been a tie... or maybe Chris won. mmmm... I should make him count and see who won. But I have to say that it was actually quite fun!

I saw The Simpsons movie on Monday too! It wasn't too bad... I think it was okay, but I guess it was like watching a really long episode of the show (which I haven't actually sat down and watched in probably almost 10 years). If you're a diehard Simpsons fan, then I guess I would suggest that you go watch it.

I did make a purchase last week!!! I got this Cole Haan Handbag that I've wanted since it first came out earlier this year... well, I wanted the large one, but I found the medium one on sale at my store so I just HAD to buy it.. plus I had a $40 Nordstrom merch certificate!!!



I just looked at ColeHaan.com and they have it at regular price still AND they're taking it into the fall season!!! woo~hoo! That means that the bag I purchased will not be going out of style! niiiice! :-) I believe that is all that I have purchased lately... just waiting for my next paycheck on the 5th.

OH! I did get a promotion earlier this week. I will be working in Women's/BP Shoes instead of Salon Shoes. The floor is double the volume of what I was on before... and it's a better opportunity for me to experience having so many salespeople (35 to be exact, instead of my usual 12 or 13). I'll be working with my old manager.... so hopefully, it won't be too bad. I'm a little scared I'll be burned out, but we shall see. I don't start until next Monday.... so if you call me at work *ahem*Christy.... make sure you call 1300! hehehee...

swollen feet.....

So it's time to update once again! I should start updating this like once every other day or something, but I get tired and lazy.

The Anniversary Sale has been going on so I've been pretty busy and tired getting ready for that, setting up, and then going through the actual sale. Friday - Sunday I had to work over 8 hours each day... which means I was on my feet for a long long time.... and that equals swollen aching feet. It sucked!!! But it's okay, hopefully I'll have some nice overtime or something to make up for it.

I really haven't been doing much lately. I had yesterday and today off. Yesterday I went to Chris' house and we went to the post office, Coffee Bean, and Fry's so that Chris could get a video game and a stylus for his new phone. All we got at Fry's was candy and some cheapy stylus' for his phone. After that we went to WinCo and bought some random snacks for later that night in case we decided to watch some movies or something. THEN we just sat at his house the rest of the night watching tv and surfing the internet... quite entertaining... hahahaha

Today I had an eye checkup, but I have to go back next week because my eyes are still hurting. It might be because I had one contact inside out... but we shall see... After that I went to the mall with my sister because she wanted to get some stuff at Nordstrom. Got some Baja Fresh for lunch... gave poor Winky a bath (which she absolutely hated and meowed like I was going to kill her), went to the mall to get a manicure/pedicure because my hands and feet really needed some care after working the sale), and now I'm at home doing laundry, cleaning my room, and cleaning out Winky's litter box.

So as you can see, nothing too exciting has been going on in my life. I guess I'll just show you what I bought for the Anniversary Sale...(which wasn't a lot! So I'm very proud of myself on that!) Ok, so when you look down, it does look like I bought a crapload of stuff... but really, with the sale price AND my discount.. it really isn't that bad!!!

Grand total of everything.....$262.17 with TAX! Not bad considering I gave myself a $300 limit for the sale. YAY to me... and if I return that blouse.. it'll be even better! woo~hoo!

Friday: I worked a closing shift, so this is not a fun day to talk about. Just went home after, surfed the internet and then went to sleep.

Saturday: Woke up. Sister went a little crazy on me because I "slammed" the new washer door. She is crazy by the way.... After that I got ready to go to Chris' house. Got there... went to Coffee Bean and the Montclair Mall to get his friends Sean & Michelle a wedding gift. I found myself some $29.99 Two Lips Shoes that matched my dress. Then I went to Gap Kids to get my old manager's son a birthday gift and card from Hallmark. After that we went to McDonald's so that I could get some lunch. Went back to Chris', ate, and got ready for the wedding!

The wedding was pretty nice. It was in one of the banquet halls I guess to this really nice community of homes/condos in Ladera Ranch near Mission Viejo. Super duper nice area. The wedding was all outdoors and the ceremony was quick! Which me and Chris enjoyed. I had a lot of fun looking at all the shoes that the women were wearing because some of them were Nordstrom brand shoes that I used to sell in BP! hahahaha. After the ceremony we got to eat appetizers. There was this huge table piled with cheeses, crackers, grapes, strawberries, and all that random stuff... BUT as Chris and I were walking in to the ceremony I saw tons of flies all over it... I did not eat off it... but other people did....! ewww... anyway. They had some veggies & dip and stuffed mushrooms inside this room (so I ate those since they were not near the insects). After there were speeches and then it was time to eat! It was buffet style and had about 6 different types of pasta, salads, and bread. Cake was chocolate with either strawberries or raspberries in it... it was okay. The wedding was nice. I think I had more fun at this one only because of the fact that they assigned people to tables so it was a little easier knowing where you were going to sit. The people at our table were okay too... so it wasn't bad, plus Chris wasn't running about with the wedding party this time so I was able to have him there to keep me company throughout the whole wedding.

Sunday: Woke up and got ready to go to my old manager's son's birthday party at the park. Got there and ate tons of food! Talked to an old coworker (Ronnie Gee) and met some of my old manager's family and friends.

After that Chris took me home and I met up with my old dorm roommate Jacqueline from college. We took her to Pinkberry and drove her around Los Feliz and Glendale since she will be going to law school in Glendale. After that, I was tired so we went our separate ways and I came home and took a nap. Woke up around 7pm, got my laundry ready and went to Chris' to do my laundry since our new ones are not hooked up yet. Ran some errands at Target and got food at Chipotle...watched tv... and that is the end of my night!

I have work tomorrow... argh! Not fun...!

So I don't think I've been up to anything remotely interesting enough to put on here... but I shall try to think of things to write... Let me see... THE WEEKEND!

Okay, so I really don't remember what I did this weekend.... but I DO remember that on Sunday I got my haircut and I feel that she might have gotten mad or something at me because I told her what I wanted and she was getting frustrated because she kept saying something else? Who knows... anyway... she cut my bangs way too short and then blow dried them and sprayed crap in it... and in the end... it made me cry. I cried on the way to Chris' and while I was there because I was so sad that my bangs were so freaking short. So after Chris tried to calm me down and tell me everything would be ok... we headed out to Hollywood to go to Amoeba. Chris got his Thievery Album and I got the Weezer Green Album that I got stolen a long time ago. Headed out to The Grove right after to get some waffles. Bought a cute dress at Nordstrom. Then we headed back to his house to do nothing but watch some television. Ended up going home and being sad that my hair was retarded and some other things that have been bothering me (I'll tell you on the phone or through aim Christy!). Just lots of things I suppose that have been bothering me.. but then the hair thing just made me want to cry.

So anyway... the next day I figured out that if I just let my bangs dry and kind of put some clay in it... they're fine. I guess I'm beginning to grow to get used to them but it was quite scary when I had asked her to cut half an inch of my bangs and then she ends up cutting about 2 inches off... not fun! So the hair thing is over and done with.

I just got some self tanner yesterday to try. It's the Origins "The Great Pretender." Heard from people at work that it works pretty well.. so I guess we'll see what happens.

I'm trying really really really really hard to cut back on my spending. I have a very limited amount of money until my next pay day because I was a loser and made payments on my credit cards and put the $50 instead of $150 in my little log of what I spend... which in the end totally fucked me over because I didn't just do it once, I did it TWICE! Horrible... so now I don't know what to do. I'll be okay I think. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't get any unexpected expenses.. or that won't be good at all!

Going to eat lunch with Juli in Tustin tomorrow morning, so I better get going to bed. Good night!

How I Missed My Computer...

So my computer has not been at my house for almost a week now and I finally got it back tonight and I have to say that I missed it very very much. I did get to read Shopaholic and Baby, which I have not finished, but I did get to read a lot of it and clean my room while my computer was gone. It wasn't even the internet that I missed... it was just the fact that I am able to entertain myself in many ways with it... like watching DVD's, listening to songs, surfing the net.... so many things!!! But yes, I am happy that it is back! hooray!

Oh, and the WORST part about not having my computer is that I had a REAL 4 day weekend... Friday to Monday.... which means I was home all those days with absolutely NOTHING to do, and I don't watch much tv... so I was pretty bored.

Friday: called out from work because I was feeling really nauseous in the morning and the night before. I woke up around 1pm and then went out to visit Chris in Riverside. That is the longest drive EVER... made me really cranky too because I kept getting lost! Ate lunch with him in the cafe, shopped with Chris in Nordstrom for a bit, i got this black camisole, white capris, and this other short sleeved top that ties in the back in purple which i can't find onlinegot a manicure at the nail salon outside of Nordstrom (which, by the way, was the worst manicure that I've EVER gotten.... but the nail color was quite pretty. I wish I had written down the name darn it.) Then I waited in my car for him to get off while I charged my phone. After that, we drove back to Claremont, had mexican food for dinner, and then we went to Ontario Mills so that Chris could find a CD that he wanted. Got Coldstone... then home I went.

Saturday: ended up calling out AGAIN because I was feeling nauseous AND I was sitting on the toilet all night (too much info, I know). I don't quite remember what I did this day... oh! went to the dry cleaners, got some boba, then drove out to hang out with Chris. He drove me to Victoria Gardens to find something to eat, but because I was still feeling sick we just got Pinkberry. Then we drove back to his house and we went to Quizno's because I wanted soup. Did that, went to Blockbuster but couldn't find a DVD so we watched a DVD that I brought from home... "Amelie." Since it is such a long movie, we didn't finish it and then I ended up going home.

Sunday: had the day off. slept in until 2pm. Went and watched "Sicko" with Chris. It was not a bad movie, but it made me really depressed and I didn't like that at all. It's a very interesting topic though, but it's one of those things where you just feel kind of helpless because I mean, what are you really going to do about it and how are you going to fix it? It's a horrible thing though, the whole health care system... very messed up. After that we ate at In-n-Out, hung out at Chris' and then home I went.

Monday: had the day off AGAIN. Woke up at 8:30am so that I could go to Chris' house and go to Huntington Beach. Got some coffee at Starbucks and off we went. Got to lay out on the beach for about 3 hours, then walked around that little restaurant/shopping area that they have across the street. Slept on the way home while Chris drove. Ordered pepperoni pizza. Then we hung out at his house for awhile. Drove out to Ontario Mills to kill some time before we went to Carl's in Riverside. Now I HAVE to say that I am extremely proud of myself for only spending $20 at Ontario Mills and getting 3 things!!!! Not too bad right? I'm starting to really like shopping at sales and finding pretty cool things. I got a pair of boxers and terry cloth shorts at Old Navy & some fake Tom Ford sunglasses at the Nordstrom Rack ALL for about $20. COOL HUH??? After Chris and I shopped, we went to Rside where Carl and his daughters were bbqing some steaks and chicken kabobs. After watching the season premiere of Extreme Makeover... we left to get some rest for work the next day.

Today: FINALLY went to work. Had a migraine for most of the day. Was so bored I was forced to go to Cinnabon and get some Cinnastix.
The owner lady knows me, it's quite sad that I go there that often that she recognizes me. Nice lady though. Then after work I picked up my computer, drove home, went to Wokcano with Chris to eat dinner, then to CVS to get some cotton balls and here I am at home.

I have tomorrow off! woo~hoo! I'm going shopping with my sister in the afternoon, eating dinner with the family, and hopefully I'll be able to go see fireworks with Christopher.... too bad he has to work. Oh well...

New Phone

So I've been obsessing a little, just a little, over the Samsung Blackjack and Motorola Q phones. I couldn't decide which one that I wanted because if I went with the Q, then I'd have to switch over to Verizon and pay a cancellation fee from Cingular. Now if I stay with Cingular, I'd have to get the Blackjack, which I didn't want as much as the Q because I found the Q to be a litte bit nicer looking. So after I dragged Chris with me everywhere to look at the phones and figure out what plan to do... I finally just decided to buy the Samsung Blackjack and keep my current carrier because switching over to Verizon and getting the Q, plus paying for cancellation fee was just waaaaay too much money that I don't have. SO there we have.... I decided to just get the Blackjack and upgrade my plan so that I can have internet access and all that great stuff.


As of now... the phone is working fine. It does get kind of static-y but I don't know if it's the phone or what... so Chris is making me use it for another week to see how it is and if I don't like it then I will be returning the mother fucker back to the Cingular store.

I do have to give Christopher huge thanks because he had to listen to me obsess over these phones for the past week nonstop and it annoyed him very very very much. So thank you for taking me to get the phone! I love you! :-) Btw... sorry for being a brat... muahahahahaha

The Weekend...

So this weekend I have no freaking clue what I did... but let's see if I can remember it while I write...

Friday: worked a closing shift. came home and then went to Cheesecake Factory with Chris where we finally decided to try something semi-different. Usually we get Steak Diane w/ Shrimp Scampi & Mashed Potatoes... but instead we decided to try the Herb Crusted Salmon and steamed green beans and I have to say that it was pretty yummy! No dessert this time thought. I think after that we went to Wal-Mart for Chris to pick up some necessities like starch and stuff like that. I think we got beach towels too but I don't remember... we go to 24 hour WalMart way too much...

Saturday: had a very irritating work day... which means that my salespeople were bothering the CRAP out of me. lots of unnecessary drama caused by retards but oh well. i closed yet again and then i THINK i went out to Chris' house where we went to P.F. Chang's to eat dinner. After that we went to Albertson's... got some Haagen Daz & cones and just lounged around in his room the rest of the night watching tv.

Sunday: Woke up at noon and waited around for Chris to come pick me up. We drove around to look at cell phones... then we went to The Grove where we got Brazilian BBQ and then saw some lady clean up puke off the ground... it was pretty disgusting. I felt pretty nasty the rest of the day because of that. I was surprised and proud of myself for not freaking out though when I saw it... so good for me!!! After that we walked around The Grove and went into Barnes & Nobles where I copied Christy and bought the newest Laurie Notaro book there's a (slight) chance i might be going to hell. After that we drove out to Ontario to watch Shrek the Third. We had popcorn, nachos and 2 Icees to entertain us throughout the movie. It was okay... I'm not much of a cartoon person, so I have to say that it was... Alllright. Then for some strange reason, when we got back to his house, I knocked the fuck out.. it was craziness!!! Chris did do something nice for me that day. I wanted ice cream and he had eaten all the Haagen Daz from the night before... so after I got mad... he went out and bought a new pint just for me! muahahahaah.... it's his fault he ate it and then lied to me and told me that his parents ate it. So it's his fault that he had to go drive down the street to the market just to buy me some so I could eat it. hahahahahahaa

Today I went to work and did absolutely nothing. Had lunch with my old manager in the food court and then did more of nothing the rest of the day. Chris and I then went to Pink's for dinner and it was quite sad because the parking attendant knows who we are. I think we go there way too often... which really isn't that often but for some reason he happens to recognize us. Strange. Anyway... we did see Patti LaBelle there...

and I have to say that in person she looks like a transvestite. She had one a short wig/weave that made her look like an Egyptian. She had short bangs and short hair... it was not cute. But she got to cut us all in line so I no longer like her because she did that. She kind of looked like how she does in that picture above but a LITTLE bit better. She looks pretty busted in the one up there... but she looked a little bit better in person... but not really. Can a transvestite really look that much better? muahahaa.. I'm so mean. I'm just mad she got to cut us all in line. Anyway... after that we drove home and I felt like puking. Not good.... but I'm better now. I think that I did not eat much today so my stomach was all going nasty inside and all the acid was making me sick... not Pink's!

So that is the end of my day and tomorrow I have to wake up at 8am to get my car to the shop to be worked on for maintenance. Have a good day. Goodbye.

Graduation!!!

I have not updated in a long ass time... which means that this will be a long update!! First... let's start off with the most interesting thing that I did last week....

Last Wednesday I went to Lindsey's (Carl's daughter) graduation at Duarte High School. I have to say that it was hot as a mofo.... but other than that... it was nice.

I woke up that morning and went to get a facial & wax at my friend Valerie's house. After that I headed to Chipotle for lunch and got a Burrito Bowl. I took a very short 20 minute nap... showered... then got ready to go to the mall to get my nails done by Kathy. After chatting with her and her friend I headed to Trader Joe's and got a bouquet of flowers for Lindsey's graduation. (I stole the idea from you Christy! hehehee...) Since it was so unbelievably hot... I went to Jamba Juice and got an Aloha Pineapple (hold the bananas). That was refreshing and I totally should have brought it to the graduation but I was stupid and left it in the car. After sweating immensely and wishing I had an ice cold bottle of water... we sat patiently and watched the graduation. It was a nice ceremony.

Ate at North Woods Inn that night with Carl's family and I have to say that it was a pretty damn good meal! I got Steak with Shrimp plate. Came with not one but TWO salads (red cabbage - THE BEST EVER!!! & lettuce with blue cheese dressing), cheese bread, baked potato, and rice pilaf. SOOOOOOOO tasty! I should've taken a picture of it, but I definitely want to go back again. It's nice comfort food. Tons of it was covered in butter and oil... but damn it was yummy!!!

Then on 6.04 Chris and I went to Disneyland. We wanted to have a relaxing day before the June Half Yearly Sale started. There aren't very many pictures from that... most of them are of me eating a pickle... it's gross. But anyway... surprisingly there were a LOT of people there that day and it was a MONDAY! Long due...

Holy crap! I have not updated this thing at all this entire month and it's already the 13th!! Wow... that's craziness. Let's see... what have I been up to....

Last week: June Half Yearly started and I had to work a lot of hours!!! Like... A LOT! From Tuesday of last week until probably Monday or Tuesday of this week I have been working 12-14 hours each day for 7 days straight!!! Not fun I tell you. Thank goodness my manager is pretty nice and understands if you wake up late or something (since she does it too). But I think everything went pretty well. I sold a decent amount this pay period and I've worked way too much OT it's ridiculous.

Yesterday was my first day off this week and I slept in until 12:30PM! It was nice to sleep and not have to do anything at all. Chris and I went to Little Tokyo to visit Michelle at her dad's Cafe.. then ate KBBQ at this place that me and Christy used to go to (remember Christy? In Little Tokyo near Oiwake's???)..... after we explored and went to Scoops near LACC. Now I read the reviews on yelp.com and I have to say that it was... interesting... but not addicting like Pinkberry. It's a nice place to try. I totally expected it to look like the inside of a Coldstone's --- you know, all air conditioned with big containers of homemade ice cream. Instead there was no air condition at all, some lumpy couches, and a small little freezer with probably 1/2 quarts of ice cream (Is that the normal size of ice cream they sell at the market?) But yeah... the man who helped us was very nice. I tried the jasmine/rose tea and coconut green tea. Chris was safe and went with strawberry and mocha cappuccino. The ice cream was good... but too much of the weird flavors made me sick. ahhahaa. It's only something I can take for a short period of time before I start wanting to gag. After that we went to Santa Anita, bought tickets for Ocean's 13... and then walked around the mall and got coffee from the Ebar. The movie was REALLY good! Makes me want to buy the first 2 DVD's because I liked it so much! I think I'm starting to really enjoy going to the movies now. I think that it's only because I like to eat the popcorn and Icee that I make Chris buy me. muahahah.

I think that's about all the excitement in my life lately. I bought some stuff lately. I'll post it for your viewing pleasure...

I think that's it. I bought a dress but I can't seem to find it online. It's a pretty silk-y dress that I can wear to a wedding or special occassion of some sort. I always have a hard time finding stuff like that, so I found one on sale and figured I should just buy it. :-) Now it's time to paint my nails!

Vegas!!!

So since I have not updated in a very long time... this will be a super long post.. AND I will be copying Christy in having a separate post dedicated to the purchases that I made this weekend... :-)

Thursday:
I woke up at around 11am and got ready to eat lunch with Kathy at the Corner Bakery Cafe. I got a turkey club sandwich and she got something that included a panini, caesar salad, and chips. Saw Jon from Nordstrom there, said hi and exchanged some words. Then Kathy and I chatted about her recent trip to Vegas and what there is to do there. Had a very nice time catching up with her!

Then I sat around the house for awhile making sure that I did not forget anything in the packing process. Chris picked me up, stopped by Coffee Bean to get some caffeine, and sat around at his house for a bit. At around 6pm it was off to Vegas we went!

Stopped by an Arco in Bakers and I must say that they had one of the cleanest gas station bathrooms EVER!!! Ok, it wasn't like I'd eat something off the toilet seat because that is plain gross but it was pretty darn clean and HUGE!!! So I give them 4 stars for that. We stopped there and bought some energy drinks, cheetos and a white chocolate reese's for me! Got to Vegas around 9:45pm, drove to a Walgreens to grab some booze and medicine before we went to the airport to pick up Christy. Found Christy and then we headed to Bally's where we checked in. The hotel room was quite large and had a nice view of the strip! Go Christy for getting the room!!! Then we walked around for what seemed like forever to find some food. I had a weird headache so I wasn't feeling the whole searching thing, but we finally found Outback Steakhouse and got some food there. I got a nice grilled halibut and steamed veggies which I really enjoyed. Then we headed back to the hotel and knocked the fuck out.

Friday:
We woke up early to go tanning at the pool. Got some coffee and chocolate croissants on the way there. Stayed at the pool until it got way too hot for us, then went to the room where we showered and got ready to eat lunch. Went to the Bally's buffet which was pretty darn gross, but wasn't THAT bad. At least there was some sort of edible food that filled my stomach. Then we met up with Christy's sister Tracee and her boyfriend Jeremy. Walked across the street to Bill's or something like that and gambled a bit. After that Christy, Chris, and I went back to the hotel room to take a short little nap before shopping! Woke up around 6pm and off to the Zappos shoe outlet! It sucked big time. But then again, I am not much of an outlet shopper but I think just maybe there may be some good deals and since Christy is usually good at finding them, I figured it was worth a try to go out there and see what they have. Other than the fun pictures we took in there, there really wasn't much.... so that was a bust. Then it was off to Fashion Show where we spent a considerable amount of time in Nordstrom where I bought a handbag and Christy bought tons of fun stuff! After that I think we went to the Bellagio buffet which was so much tastier. They had all you can eat sushi! The good kind too! I liked that... :-)

After we changed clothing and walked all the way down the strip to Treasure Island so that we could go to Kahunaville. They had THE BEST virgin strawberry coladas EVER! (I know, I'm a big baby... can't have any alcohol :-(....) We hung out there for awhile and then it was time to go home and sleep.

Las Vegas 05.26

Saturday:
We woke up yet again to go tanning. Got our coffee & pastries on our way to the pool. After that, we went back to the room, showered, and got ready to go eat lunch at Mandalay Bay. They had THE BEST vanilla custard ice cream/froyo EVER... with nice waffle cones too. After our buffet lunch we walked around and headed to the Shark Reef exhibit. Saw some pretty cool things, but since I have the attention span of a little child, I stopped listening to my handheld and just walked around looking at the exhibits. (That made me end my tour quite quickly... which was not a good thing...) Saw the biggest sting ray EVER, which was kind of cool and gross at the same time. Got to pet some weird looking fish that was super scale-y and got to purchase a picture of me, Chris, and Christy. Since Chris was wearing green and we took the picture in front of a green screen, Chris' body was transformed into the background... muahahaa.. it looks like he has a floating head... quite funny!

After that we headed back to the room where we took naps again. Woke up and got ready to go eat at Lawry's. Had some very yummy food and then we went back to the room to change into something more comfy and walked over to the Bellagio to watch "O." Got Chris a vodka/tonic... and me and Christy got the YUMMIEST Strawberry slush EVER. And I mean... EVER! It was so tasty. Anyway.. the show was very good and I kept wondering how those damn people held their breathe so long in the water! It was even more amazing that they had a live band and singers throughout the entire show! That was cool! Then I think we went to Bill's Casino or something and gambled a bit. I won some money at the Wheel of Fortune slots... and then we headed back to our hotel where we got some chicken salad sandwiches at "Nosh." Ate them and then fell asleep.

Las Vegas 05.27

Sunday:
We slept in and decided that there would be NO tanning today. Got ready, checked out... got our usual coffee downstairs and waited for Chris to pick us up. Headed out to Wynn to have their buffet brunch, which was by far the BEST of the whole weekend. Had a made to order omelette with fresh salsa and guacamole (and I dislike guacamole but this was sooooo good!), chicken noodle soup, some other random stuff, homemade coconut ice cream & mango sorbet with toasted almonds, croissants, coffee, annnnnd some other stuff I don't remember. But it was yummy!

After that Chris dropped Christy and me off at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood where Christy and I shopped at Sephora forever... bought some stuff... met up with Chris and then walked the rest of the shopping center. Bought some shoes at Aldo, went to MetroPark where Christy got a cute dress... and Victoria's Secret for some undies since I got a gift card for my bday. After that we went to drop Christy off at the airport. Then stopped at Terrible's to get some gas, energy drinks, soda, chips, and candy for the fun ride home. Slept as usual... then ate dinner at Legends before Chris dropped me off.

Las Vegas 05.28

Today:
Slept in until 2pm but was awaken at noon to use the restroom. Then I went online, ate lunch, and just sat around until 5pm. Read some magazines... and fell BACK to sleep from 5:20pm until 7:20pm. Took a shower and headed out to Chris'. Went to Pinkberry, the gas station and Walgreens. After that, we watched the rest of Miss Universe (woo~hoo to Miss Japan who won!) Then came home to do some laundry and update my blog.

Not feeling work tomorrow. Don't want to go... wish I could be on vacation forever!!! :-)

Barfing sucks....

So I got sick on Monday morning. I woke up at 3:30am and had to run to the bathroom just in case I threw up. I didn't EXACTLY barf... but I did go through the motions of barfing... just nothing came out except spit. Gross huh??? So I slept in the bathroom on the floor for a couple of hours and then I called out from work and slept in my bed until 1:30pm. Then, I woke up and decided to get a manicure and pedicure since I knew that I wouldn't have time before Vegas. Even though I was still feeling nauseous, I got out of bed, showered and just headed out to the mall for my appointment. After that I went to Whole Foods where I bought some chicken noodle soup for dinner.

Then Chris came and picked me up and we went to Old Town to go shopping for some Vegas gear. He got 2 pairs of shorts and I got 1. We headed to Target, our favorite place EVER, and got some cat litter and essentials.

Today I woke up and went to work. My mom and sister totally love waking me up in the morning! I hate it! Argh... I get cranky when I am rudely woken up. Oh well. I bet they will do it again tomorrow. I started packing for Vegas already! I'm almost done too! I just have to add some last minute stuff like toilettries and junk like that, but other than that... I'm done! woo~hoo! I did realize that I do not have any "clubbing" gear aka "hoochie" clothing. Not like I really need it because I don't even know if we'll be going clubbing... but just in case. OR maybe even to a bar... either way... I want a cute outfit... but I don't have anything! I have way too much work clothing and shoes and not enough going out clothing. Maybe I should start getting stuff like that instead of work clothes. Oh... and I have no hoochie shoes... just work shoes that are all conservative and stuff. I can't wear things like that to Vegas! Oh well... I'm giving myself spending money for Vegas and I guess THAT is what I will be buying.... a cute top/dress and maybe some shoes... if I have to.
