Vegas!!!

So since I have not updated in a very long time... this will be a super long post.. AND I will be copying Christy in having a separate post dedicated to the purchases that I made this weekend... :-)

Thursday:
I woke up at around 11am and got ready to eat lunch with Kathy at the Corner Bakery Cafe. I got a turkey club sandwich and she got something that included a panini, caesar salad, and chips. Saw Jon from Nordstrom there, said hi and exchanged some words. Then Kathy and I chatted about her recent trip to Vegas and what there is to do there. Had a very nice time catching up with her!

Then I sat around the house for awhile making sure that I did not forget anything in the packing process. Chris picked me up, stopped by Coffee Bean to get some caffeine, and sat around at his house for a bit. At around 6pm it was off to Vegas we went!

Stopped by an Arco in Bakers and I must say that they had one of the cleanest gas station bathrooms EVER!!! Ok, it wasn't like I'd eat something off the toilet seat because that is plain gross but it was pretty darn clean and HUGE!!! So I give them 4 stars for that. We stopped there and bought some energy drinks, cheetos and a white chocolate reese's for me! Got to Vegas around 9:45pm, drove to a Walgreens to grab some booze and medicine before we went to the airport to pick up Christy. Found Christy and then we headed to Bally's where we checked in. The hotel room was quite large and had a nice view of the strip! Go Christy for getting the room!!! Then we walked around for what seemed like forever to find some food. I had a weird headache so I wasn't feeling the whole searching thing, but we finally found Outback Steakhouse and got some food there. I got a nice grilled halibut and steamed veggies which I really enjoyed. Then we headed back to the hotel and knocked the fuck out.

Las Vegas 5.25

Friday:
We woke up early to go tanning at the pool. Got some coffee and chocolate croissants on the way there. Stayed at the pool until it got way too hot for us, then went to the room where we showered and got ready to eat lunch. Went to the Bally's buffet which was pretty darn gross, but wasn't THAT bad. At least there was some sort of edible food that filled my stomach. Then we met up with Christy's sister Tracee and her boyfriend Jeremy. Walked across the street to Bill's or something like that and gambled a bit. After that Christy, Chris, and I went back to the hotel room to take a short little nap before shopping! Woke up around 6pm and off to the Zappos shoe outlet! It sucked big time. But then again, I am not much of an outlet shopper but I think just maybe there may be some good deals and since Christy is usually good at finding them, I figured it was worth a try to go out there and see what they have. Other than the fun pictures we took in there, there really wasn't much.... so that was a bust. Then it was off to Fashion Show where we spent a considerable amount of time in Nordstrom where I bought a handbag and Christy bought tons of fun stuff! After that I think we went to the Bellagio buffet which was so much tastier. They had all you can eat sushi! The good kind too! I liked that... :-)

After we changed clothing and walked all the way down the strip to Treasure Island so that we could go to Kahunaville. They had THE BEST virgin strawberry coladas EVER! (I know, I'm a big baby... can't have any alcohol :-(....) We hung out there for awhile and then it was time to go home and sleep.

Las Vegas 05.26

Saturday:
We woke up yet again to go tanning. Got our coffee & pastries on our way to the pool. After that, we went back to the room, showered, and got ready to go eat lunch at Mandalay Bay. They had THE BEST vanilla custard ice cream/froyo EVER... with nice waffle cones too. After our buffet lunch we walked around and headed to the Shark Reef exhibit. Saw some pretty cool things, but since I have the attention span of a little child, I stopped listening to my handheld and just walked around looking at the exhibits. (That made me end my tour quite quickly... which was not a good thing...) Saw the biggest sting ray EVER, which was kind of cool and gross at the same time. Got to pet some weird looking fish that was super scale-y and got to purchase a picture of me, Chris, and Christy. Since Chris was wearing green and we took the picture in front of a green screen, Chris' body was transformed into the background... muahahaa.. it looks like he has a floating head... quite funny!

After that we headed back to the room where we took naps again. Woke up and got ready to go eat at Lawry's. Had some very yummy food and then we went back to the room to change into something more comfy and walked over to the Bellagio to watch "O." Got Chris a vodka/tonic... and me and Christy got the YUMMIEST Strawberry slush EVER. And I mean... EVER! It was so tasty. Anyway.. the show was very good and I kept wondering how those damn people held their breathe so long in the water! It was even more amazing that they had a live band and singers throughout the entire show! That was cool! Then I think we went to Bill's Casino or something and gambled a bit. I won some money at the Wheel of Fortune slots... and then we headed back to our hotel where we got some chicken salad sandwiches at "Nosh." Ate them and then fell asleep.

Las Vegas 05.27

Sunday:
We slept in and decided that there would be NO tanning today. Got ready, checked out... got our usual coffee downstairs and waited for Chris to pick us up. Headed out to Wynn to have their buffet brunch, which was by far the BEST of the whole weekend. Had a made to order omelette with fresh salsa and guacamole (and I dislike guacamole but this was sooooo good!), chicken noodle soup, some other random stuff, homemade coconut ice cream & mango sorbet with toasted almonds, croissants, coffee, annnnnd some other stuff I don't remember. But it was yummy!

After that Chris dropped Christy and me off at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood where Christy and I shopped at Sephora forever... bought some stuff... met up with Chris and then walked the rest of the shopping center. Bought some shoes at Aldo, went to MetroPark where Christy got a cute dress... and Victoria's Secret for some undies since I got a gift card for my bday. After that we went to drop Christy off at the airport. Then stopped at Terrible's to get some gas, energy drinks, soda, chips, and candy for the fun ride home. Slept as usual... then ate dinner at Legends before Chris dropped me off.

Las Vegas 05.28

Today:
Slept in until 2pm but was awaken at noon to use the restroom. Then I went online, ate lunch, and just sat around until 5pm. Read some magazines... and fell BACK to sleep from 5:20pm until 7:20pm. Took a shower and headed out to Chris'. Went to Pinkberry, the gas station and Walgreens. After that, we watched the rest of Miss Universe (woo~hoo to Miss Japan who won!) Then came home to do some laundry and update my blog.

Not feeling work tomorrow. Don't want to go... wish I could be on vacation forever!!! :-)

Barfing sucks....

So I got sick on Monday morning. I woke up at 3:30am and had to run to the bathroom just in case I threw up. I didn't EXACTLY barf... but I did go through the motions of barfing... just nothing came out except spit. Gross huh??? So I slept in the bathroom on the floor for a couple of hours and then I called out from work and slept in my bed until 1:30pm. Then, I woke up and decided to get a manicure and pedicure since I knew that I wouldn't have time before Vegas. Even though I was still feeling nauseous, I got out of bed, showered and just headed out to the mall for my appointment. After that I went to Whole Foods where I bought some chicken noodle soup for dinner.

Then Chris came and picked me up and we went to Old Town to go shopping for some Vegas gear. He got 2 pairs of shorts and I got 1. We headed to Target, our favorite place EVER, and got some cat litter and essentials.

Today I woke up and went to work. My mom and sister totally love waking me up in the morning! I hate it! Argh... I get cranky when I am rudely woken up. Oh well. I bet they will do it again tomorrow. I started packing for Vegas already! I'm almost done too! I just have to add some last minute stuff like toilettries and junk like that, but other than that... I'm done! woo~hoo! I did realize that I do not have any "clubbing" gear aka "hoochie" clothing. Not like I really need it because I don't even know if we'll be going clubbing... but just in case. OR maybe even to a bar... either way... I want a cute outfit... but I don't have anything! I have way too much work clothing and shoes and not enough going out clothing. Maybe I should start getting stuff like that instead of work clothes. Oh... and I have no hoochie shoes... just work shoes that are all conservative and stuff. I can't wear things like that to Vegas! Oh well... I'm giving myself spending money for Vegas and I guess THAT is what I will be buying.... a cute top/dress and maybe some shoes... if I have to.

Tired!!!

Haven't updated since the morning of my birthday.... LOTS to update on!!! Ready?!?!!

Thursday:
Woke up extra early to take my car to the mechanic down the street. Walked home. Saw my old personal trainer at the stop sign at my house... chatted with her for a bit. Came home and slept. Chris came over and we went to pick up my car at the mechanic, took it to Sears to get my tires balanced then went to eat at Kabuki. After went to visit Carl at Nordstrom and return a whole bunch of stuff that I bought that I don't need. Then went to Ulta and bought the Amazing Concealer that Mindy Ephron wrote about in her blog. Actually works pretty damn well (Christy you should try it!!!!) It is a little expensive but as of now it seems worth it!

After that I picked up my car and then off to the Chinese Restaurant we went with my family. Had duck and other random Chinese dishes. Then went home and hung out with my family. Ate cake and fruit that Carl got me... (pictures below). Then Chris and I went to Ralphs to buy some snacks because we were going to watch Shrek 2. Bought sour cream, french onion dip powder, Ruffles, Sunkist and ice. Came home, watched the movie and snacked!!! yum!

That was the end of my birthday. Chris got me a really nice pillow from Brookstone & some really pretty flowers sent to my work (which I blogged about earlier)... my manager got me Philosophy Hand Cream, Shampoo/Body Wash, and a $50 Victoria's Secret Giftcard, my sister gave me money, Carl got me a fruit basket from Edible Creations, Christy sent me a nice birthday card, annnnd.... I think that is it? I don't remember.. bad memory.

24th Birthday

Friday:
I think I just worked this day and then went home to sleep because I had to wake up early the next morning to work.

Saturday:
Woke up early to go to work at 8am. Nothing too exciting happened. Ate lunch with the dept. manager from women's shoe and my dept. manager. After work I went to Pearl & Brian's for his graduation party. Met Chris there and ate some yummy food. Then went home to change and then went to pick up Chris to head out to the Irvine Spectrum to meet Patty at DnB. (pictures in the album for "today").

Today:
Got rudely woken up this morning by my mom and sister cleaning the house. For some odd reason, my freaking sister ALWAYS vacuums on Sunday mornings. That also happens to be the day that I get to sleep in... YEAH RIGHT! Makes me so mad! I don't understand why she doesn't do it on Saturdays when I'm at work... ARGH! Anyway... woke up and got ready to eat lunch with Crystal and Kat at some Korean BBQ place in Arcadia. Then we went to Starbucks and chatted outside of Pavilions on some benches where we took pictures with my camera. It's cool to have a timer on that thing. We just put my camera on top of our coffee cups and prayed that the pictures came out alright... and they did... come out okay. I look kind of funny but whatever....

May Outtings

After Chris picked me up and we went to eat at Lawry's with his family. Then Pinkberry, Target and Albertsons.

Bought some thank you cards, Shopaholic & Baby by Sophia Kinsella, underwear, and some mints at Target.

At Albertsons, Chris and I just got some snacks again to watch Desperate Housewives.

That's the end of my weekend! Wasn't as "lazy" as I would have liked it to be, but it was still not too bad!!! :-) Now my sister is angry at me because I put her clothes in the dryer and some of it shrank and I "ruined" all of it... man, I was just trying to be nice!!!

Have to wake up early tomorrow... which is never fun, so I should be heading to bed now. BYE!

Sad Day...

So today is a sad day because I overdrafted in my checking account and it makes me sad because I'm retarded and I know I should've transfered money from my savings but I was like "it won't go through yet, it's okay!" ARGH... i'm retarded....

Hopefully my family will give me money for my birthday at my dinner tonight and then I'll be a happy camper with money in the bank. I hope!!! Argh...

Chris surprised me yesterday with pink roses & tulips at work! I've never had any flowers sent to me at work... and he did it!!! :-) I came back from lunch and the other assistant was like "Susie, you got a special delivery today." And I'm thinking... "what the heck are you talking about???" Then I looked over the cashwrap and there was a bunch of roses and tulips in a bowl with a Happy Birthday balloon!!! VERY pretty.... here are pictures for your viewing pleasure. I know it's dark and I have more pictures with a flash but I'm too lazy to upload them... you get the point. hehehehe

Lazy SUNDAYS!!!

I'm so excited that I now get "lazy Sundays" just like Christy. I love them! I get to be lazy all day and do absolutely nothing! Or... if Chris is off, we get to do normal things that people do on Sundays like shop, eat, or walk around somewhere.. it's kind of fun! :-)

My last day at Santa Anita was on the 4th... had a meeting with the buyers that morning, took pics with the people there... then I went back to work and was surprised with a Mrs. Fields cookie, after work went to Cheesecake Factory with some of my coworkers... had a good time! This weekend I don't think that I did much....

Friday: Worked, and then ate at Hodori with Chris after work. I had to open the next day so I had to get home ASAP!!!

Saturday: Opened at work, then rushed home and went to meet Chris so that we could go eat at P.F. Chang's with his family for his birthday. After we went to Target where he bought me this super cute bathing suit... picture will be shown on left... then we went to Pinkberry! YAY!

Sunday: Woke up at 1:30pm, went to get a car wash, visited people at Nordstrom Santa Anita, came home and attempted to clean my room.... then went to eat dinner with Chris at President Thai, went to Petco to buy Winky some cat food, watched some TV at his house, got Pinkberry and then home I went....

Monday: CHRIS' BIRTHDAY! I surprised him by calling the ebar and cafe at his store and getting him free coffee and his favorite chocolate chip cookie delivered to him... I'm so sneaky and awesome! hahaha.. jk

Then I got him a card at Hallmark & a pound of his favorite chocolate at See's Candy. I drove home, took a nap.. .then out to Cheesecake Factory for his birthday. The food was yummy and the dessert was even better! They had a candle on it and wrote Happy Birthday to You in chocolate syrup.. it was v. nice. After we went to Wal Mart to buy some random toiletries that we needed, went to his house so that I could catch up on my tivo'd shows.. but instead fell asleep since I had been up since 5am.... then home I went!

Chris' Birthday

Today: Woke up late bc I was so tired... went to the dry cleaners, then Rite Aid to buy a Sugar Free Rockstar... went to work. Worked worked and worked... drank Rockstar and coffee all day. Finally got home and ate leftover Cheesecake Factory from last night and now I'm uploading all my pics and finally updating this thing just for CHRISTY!!! :-)

Dodgers & Franklin Covey

Dodger Game

So it has taken me forever and a half to finally figure out how to put that little album up there for everyone to look at my photots... gosh I'm retarded. All last night I just couldn't figure it out!!! Argh... oh well.

I think that these past two days I have spent a lot more than I probably should have. With my new position and all the stories that I am hearing about my new manager, I wanted to be a little bit more organized than how I am now. Right now, I have about 4 free notebooks that I have received while working in BP Shoes and I just kind of throw those notebooks around in my car, at work, and at home... so when I have a meeting, I grab whichever one is closest to me at that one particular moment. That's not really a good thing when I have important information in one, and stuff in another that I need... so I figured that it's about time that I have ONE place for EVERYTHING. It's really quite nice and the lady who helped me at the store was very nice in helping me find everything that I need.

The Dodger game was pretty fun. I got to eat a Dodger Dog with Jalapenos!!! My favorite! And THEN I got cotton candy... which is also one of my favorites. It was a good day. Then Chris took me to Ontario to get my organizer... and I think that was about it for that day. I also got super burned... but at least I'm getting tan right?

Work Filled Day...

So today I had to wake up at 7am to go to a meeting at work from 8am - 1:30pm ON MY DAY OFF.... yeah, that really sucked! But the only good thing that came out of this meeting was the fact that I got free CPK for lunch and a chocolate chip cookie from Mrs. Fields because one of the manangers got promoted and is leaving. So that was the highlight of my day.

OH! I also got the assistant position at Westside Pavilion! I'm pretty excited but sad at the same time. I've been at Arcadia for so long and I have people that come visit me sometimes, it will be sad to leave that store and everyone that I know. I'll have to make new friends I guess and actually pack my lunch. Waking up early in the morning is going to KILL me I know it. But we'll see how it goes....
