Quiet before the Storm...

So today is my last day off before the first weekend of the crazy sale! I'm kind of hoping that because people got to pick things up and presale before... the first couple of days will not be so bad. However, Chris and I had a fun filled day and I want to share it!

Woke up at 9am (surprising huh?) and sat around the house for a bit and then got ready. Chris picked me up and we headed out to LA to eat at The Griddle. Got ther
e and waited for about 10 minutes for a table. I got the french toast (yum!) and a side of bacon and Chris got a waffle and orange juice. It was TASTY! I wish the place's air condition was working a bit better since it was kind of stuffy in there but other than that... it was a very very yummy breakfast. After that we headed over to Universal City Walk to get some Popcornopolis for Chris. Didn't realize that it's $14 to park and we were only going to be there for about 20 minutes. :-( Walked around, got our popcorn and Chris some coffee at Coffee Bean and then back to the car we went.

Had tickets to see the Mummies of the World Exhibit at the California Science Museum at 2pm so we had to get from Universal to Downtown in 30 minutes. We made it! YAY! The exhibit was kind of creepy and gross but interesting at the same time. I wouldn't go again... but I kind of think it was cool enough for me to tell people to go? It was really crowded or maybe I would have stayed longer and listened to my audio tour a bit more.

After that I had Chris drive me to the Urth Caffe location in Downtown because I wanted to try one of their drinks. Then I saw a girl walking out with bob
a and immediately wanted boba! So I got an ice blended green tea boba. Was actually pretty tasty. This location is so much more bigger and nicer than the one in Beverly Hills. Wish I worked closer or lived close to this one.. there were so many people inside. But everyone had a laptop or looked like they were super "cool" and "important." Weird.

Then this is where the fun starts. We went to Old Town Pasa
dena because I needed to go to T&Co. to get my necklace fixed (chain broke) and to clean another one that was turning black.. bleh! Turns out... both are free for the services... woo~hoo! After I coaxed Chris to take me to Forever 21. My sister bought a bunch of really cute stuff there so I wanted to try my luck out. I found one shirt pictured below....

Then we went to Urban Outfitters where I found a really cute dress! I cannot find an exact picture of the dress, but I did find the style but just not the colors...

Since it was so darn hot and I had already spent money on 2 things... we decided to leave Old Town and head to Target for some necessities. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes. No joke. Usually I am in there FOREVER... but we were tired from being awake so early in the morning and the hotness. After Target we were hungry but could not for the life of us decide where to eat so Chris drove down Huntington Drive and then we found RUBIO'S!!! I love their fish tacos with no white sauce and their picante salsa. YUM! Then that ends our fun day. I went home and took a nap and Chris went home to play some video games. :-)

The air conditioner is on in my house (which is a super rare thing) so I'm very excited and happy at the moment and must savor it!

April Favorites

I have not written in this for so long but I have had an urge to write in a blog for some reason. I read an article a couple of weeks ago about how one person documented what they ate for 365 days and then wrote a book about it. Ever since I got food poisoning in January and threw up for the first time in 20 years, I have written a note in my iphone that lists places that have gotten me sick after eating there. So then I thought, if I take a picture of EVERYTHING that I eat for 365 days, then I may actually be able to help pinpoint my acid reflux/nausea/food poisoning sickness that I have. BUT, I have yet to take pictures of anything that I have eaten. Hopefully I will get off my lazy butt soon and do that so that I can help my stomach out a bit.

Anyway, I have these favorite things that I like and am semi-obsessed with and wanted to share it with the 1 person who reads this blog. haha

I purchased a bunch of stuff lately that I definitely do not need... but here are some things that are my favorites right now:

1. Kiehl's Deluxe Hand & Body Lotion with Aloe Vera & "GARDENIA" - it totally smells like something an old lady would wear but for some strange reason, I LOVE the smell. I find myself smelling myself on my way to work and during just because I think it smells so nice.

2. Slatkin & Co. Flower SCENTPORTABLE in Pineapple Orchid - I have this in my car right now in the passenger visor of my car and I love the smell. It's $5 and is expensive for what it is, but I think it's better than buying a cheap air freshener that makes me feel like barfing. They had a ton of different scents. I will definitely have to try the others.

3. KitchenAid Salad And Fruit Spinner: Got this at Costco for only $10. Online they have it for $30, so I think I got a pretty good deal. I did read some reviews about it, and they're not that good. But at least I did not pay as much as everyone else?seat visor and it smells soooo good. I love pineapple and it's not grossly strong but still strong enough. We will see how long it lasts though because the case that the scent comes in, is actually quite thin so I will have to keep you updated on that. It was $5.00 for one and $5.oo for the refill. I may just continue to buy it just because it smells so gosh darn nice.

I made Lemon Chicken Soup with Egg Noodles tonight because I ate a Costco hotdog with all the fixin's on a hot day and my sister said that THAT is the reason why I got sick. I literally had to RUN to the restroom at Costco or else I probably would have pooped my pants, fainted, and then barfed all over myself. Luckily, none of those things happened. So anyway, I made that soup and added some kale and did a really good job if I say so myself. I used the Costco Rotisserie Chicken that I got today.

Time to pack my lunch for tomorrow... chicken soup!
