New Phone

So I've been obsessing a little, just a little, over the Samsung Blackjack and Motorola Q phones. I couldn't decide which one that I wanted because if I went with the Q, then I'd have to switch over to Verizon and pay a cancellation fee from Cingular. Now if I stay with Cingular, I'd have to get the Blackjack, which I didn't want as much as the Q because I found the Q to be a litte bit nicer looking. So after I dragged Chris with me everywhere to look at the phones and figure out what plan to do... I finally just decided to buy the Samsung Blackjack and keep my current carrier because switching over to Verizon and getting the Q, plus paying for cancellation fee was just waaaaay too much money that I don't have. SO there we have.... I decided to just get the Blackjack and upgrade my plan so that I can have internet access and all that great stuff.


As of now... the phone is working fine. It does get kind of static-y but I don't know if it's the phone or what... so Chris is making me use it for another week to see how it is and if I don't like it then I will be returning the mother fucker back to the Cingular store.

I do have to give Christopher huge thanks because he had to listen to me obsess over these phones for the past week nonstop and it annoyed him very very very much. So thank you for taking me to get the phone! I love you! :-) Btw... sorry for being a brat... muahahahahaha

The Weekend...

So this weekend I have no freaking clue what I did... but let's see if I can remember it while I write...

Friday: worked a closing shift. came home and then went to Cheesecake Factory with Chris where we finally decided to try something semi-different. Usually we get Steak Diane w/ Shrimp Scampi & Mashed Potatoes... but instead we decided to try the Herb Crusted Salmon and steamed green beans and I have to say that it was pretty yummy! No dessert this time thought. I think after that we went to Wal-Mart for Chris to pick up some necessities like starch and stuff like that. I think we got beach towels too but I don't remember... we go to 24 hour WalMart way too much...

Saturday: had a very irritating work day... which means that my salespeople were bothering the CRAP out of me. lots of unnecessary drama caused by retards but oh well. i closed yet again and then i THINK i went out to Chris' house where we went to P.F. Chang's to eat dinner. After that we went to Albertson's... got some Haagen Daz & cones and just lounged around in his room the rest of the night watching tv.

Sunday: Woke up at noon and waited around for Chris to come pick me up. We drove around to look at cell phones... then we went to The Grove where we got Brazilian BBQ and then saw some lady clean up puke off the ground... it was pretty disgusting. I felt pretty nasty the rest of the day because of that. I was surprised and proud of myself for not freaking out though when I saw it... so good for me!!! After that we walked around The Grove and went into Barnes & Nobles where I copied Christy and bought the newest Laurie Notaro book there's a (slight) chance i might be going to hell. After that we drove out to Ontario to watch Shrek the Third. We had popcorn, nachos and 2 Icees to entertain us throughout the movie. It was okay... I'm not much of a cartoon person, so I have to say that it was... Alllright. Then for some strange reason, when we got back to his house, I knocked the fuck out.. it was craziness!!! Chris did do something nice for me that day. I wanted ice cream and he had eaten all the Haagen Daz from the night before... so after I got mad... he went out and bought a new pint just for me! muahahahaah.... it's his fault he ate it and then lied to me and told me that his parents ate it. So it's his fault that he had to go drive down the street to the market just to buy me some so I could eat it. hahahahahahaa

Today I went to work and did absolutely nothing. Had lunch with my old manager in the food court and then did more of nothing the rest of the day. Chris and I then went to Pink's for dinner and it was quite sad because the parking attendant knows who we are. I think we go there way too often... which really isn't that often but for some reason he happens to recognize us. Strange. Anyway... we did see Patti LaBelle there...

and I have to say that in person she looks like a transvestite. She had one a short wig/weave that made her look like an Egyptian. She had short bangs and short hair... it was not cute. But she got to cut us all in line so I no longer like her because she did that. She kind of looked like how she does in that picture above but a LITTLE bit better. She looks pretty busted in the one up there... but she looked a little bit better in person... but not really. Can a transvestite really look that much better? muahahaa.. I'm so mean. I'm just mad she got to cut us all in line. Anyway... after that we drove home and I felt like puking. Not good.... but I'm better now. I think that I did not eat much today so my stomach was all going nasty inside and all the acid was making me sick... not Pink's!

So that is the end of my day and tomorrow I have to wake up at 8am to get my car to the shop to be worked on for maintenance. Have a good day. Goodbye.

Graduation!!!

I have not updated in a long ass time... which means that this will be a long update!! First... let's start off with the most interesting thing that I did last week....

Last Wednesday I went to Lindsey's (Carl's daughter) graduation at Duarte High School. I have to say that it was hot as a mofo.... but other than that... it was nice.

I woke up that morning and went to get a facial & wax at my friend Valerie's house. After that I headed to Chipotle for lunch and got a Burrito Bowl. I took a very short 20 minute nap... showered... then got ready to go to the mall to get my nails done by Kathy. After chatting with her and her friend I headed to Trader Joe's and got a bouquet of flowers for Lindsey's graduation. (I stole the idea from you Christy! hehehee...) Since it was so unbelievably hot... I went to Jamba Juice and got an Aloha Pineapple (hold the bananas). That was refreshing and I totally should have brought it to the graduation but I was stupid and left it in the car. After sweating immensely and wishing I had an ice cold bottle of water... we sat patiently and watched the graduation. It was a nice ceremony.

Ate at North Woods Inn that night with Carl's family and I have to say that it was a pretty damn good meal! I got Steak with Shrimp plate. Came with not one but TWO salads (red cabbage - THE BEST EVER!!! & lettuce with blue cheese dressing), cheese bread, baked potato, and rice pilaf. SOOOOOOOO tasty! I should've taken a picture of it, but I definitely want to go back again. It's nice comfort food. Tons of it was covered in butter and oil... but damn it was yummy!!!

Then on 6.04 Chris and I went to Disneyland. We wanted to have a relaxing day before the June Half Yearly Sale started. There aren't very many pictures from that... most of them are of me eating a pickle... it's gross. But anyway... surprisingly there were a LOT of people there that day and it was a MONDAY! Long due...

Holy crap! I have not updated this thing at all this entire month and it's already the 13th!! Wow... that's craziness. Let's see... what have I been up to....

Last week: June Half Yearly started and I had to work a lot of hours!!! Like... A LOT! From Tuesday of last week until probably Monday or Tuesday of this week I have been working 12-14 hours each day for 7 days straight!!! Not fun I tell you. Thank goodness my manager is pretty nice and understands if you wake up late or something (since she does it too). But I think everything went pretty well. I sold a decent amount this pay period and I've worked way too much OT it's ridiculous.

Yesterday was my first day off this week and I slept in until 12:30PM! It was nice to sleep and not have to do anything at all. Chris and I went to Little Tokyo to visit Michelle at her dad's Cafe.. then ate KBBQ at this place that me and Christy used to go to (remember Christy? In Little Tokyo near Oiwake's???)..... after we explored and went to Scoops near LACC. Now I read the reviews on yelp.com and I have to say that it was... interesting... but not addicting like Pinkberry. It's a nice place to try. I totally expected it to look like the inside of a Coldstone's --- you know, all air conditioned with big containers of homemade ice cream. Instead there was no air condition at all, some lumpy couches, and a small little freezer with probably 1/2 quarts of ice cream (Is that the normal size of ice cream they sell at the market?) But yeah... the man who helped us was very nice. I tried the jasmine/rose tea and coconut green tea. Chris was safe and went with strawberry and mocha cappuccino. The ice cream was good... but too much of the weird flavors made me sick. ahhahaa. It's only something I can take for a short period of time before I start wanting to gag. After that we went to Santa Anita, bought tickets for Ocean's 13... and then walked around the mall and got coffee from the Ebar. The movie was REALLY good! Makes me want to buy the first 2 DVD's because I liked it so much! I think I'm starting to really enjoy going to the movies now. I think that it's only because I like to eat the popcorn and Icee that I make Chris buy me. muahahah.

I think that's about all the excitement in my life lately. I bought some stuff lately. I'll post it for your viewing pleasure...

I think that's it. I bought a dress but I can't seem to find it online. It's a pretty silk-y dress that I can wear to a wedding or special occassion of some sort. I always have a hard time finding stuff like that, so I found one on sale and figured I should just buy it. :-) Now it's time to paint my nails!

Vegas!!!

So since I have not updated in a very long time... this will be a super long post.. AND I will be copying Christy in having a separate post dedicated to the purchases that I made this weekend... :-)

Thursday:
I woke up at around 11am and got ready to eat lunch with Kathy at the Corner Bakery Cafe. I got a turkey club sandwich and she got something that included a panini, caesar salad, and chips. Saw Jon from Nordstrom there, said hi and exchanged some words. Then Kathy and I chatted about her recent trip to Vegas and what there is to do there. Had a very nice time catching up with her!

Then I sat around the house for awhile making sure that I did not forget anything in the packing process. Chris picked me up, stopped by Coffee Bean to get some caffeine, and sat around at his house for a bit. At around 6pm it was off to Vegas we went!

Stopped by an Arco in Bakers and I must say that they had one of the cleanest gas station bathrooms EVER!!! Ok, it wasn't like I'd eat something off the toilet seat because that is plain gross but it was pretty darn clean and HUGE!!! So I give them 4 stars for that. We stopped there and bought some energy drinks, cheetos and a white chocolate reese's for me! Got to Vegas around 9:45pm, drove to a Walgreens to grab some booze and medicine before we went to the airport to pick up Christy. Found Christy and then we headed to Bally's where we checked in. The hotel room was quite large and had a nice view of the strip! Go Christy for getting the room!!! Then we walked around for what seemed like forever to find some food. I had a weird headache so I wasn't feeling the whole searching thing, but we finally found Outback Steakhouse and got some food there. I got a nice grilled halibut and steamed veggies which I really enjoyed. Then we headed back to the hotel and knocked the fuck out.

Friday:
We woke up early to go tanning at the pool. Got some coffee and chocolate croissants on the way there. Stayed at the pool until it got way too hot for us, then went to the room where we showered and got ready to eat lunch. Went to the Bally's buffet which was pretty darn gross, but wasn't THAT bad. At least there was some sort of edible food that filled my stomach. Then we met up with Christy's sister Tracee and her boyfriend Jeremy. Walked across the street to Bill's or something like that and gambled a bit. After that Christy, Chris, and I went back to the hotel room to take a short little nap before shopping! Woke up around 6pm and off to the Zappos shoe outlet! It sucked big time. But then again, I am not much of an outlet shopper but I think just maybe there may be some good deals and since Christy is usually good at finding them, I figured it was worth a try to go out there and see what they have. Other than the fun pictures we took in there, there really wasn't much.... so that was a bust. Then it was off to Fashion Show where we spent a considerable amount of time in Nordstrom where I bought a handbag and Christy bought tons of fun stuff! After that I think we went to the Bellagio buffet which was so much tastier. They had all you can eat sushi! The good kind too! I liked that... :-)

After we changed clothing and walked all the way down the strip to Treasure Island so that we could go to Kahunaville. They had THE BEST virgin strawberry coladas EVER! (I know, I'm a big baby... can't have any alcohol :-(....) We hung out there for awhile and then it was time to go home and sleep.

Las Vegas 05.26

Saturday:
We woke up yet again to go tanning. Got our coffee & pastries on our way to the pool. After that, we went back to the room, showered, and got ready to go eat lunch at Mandalay Bay. They had THE BEST vanilla custard ice cream/froyo EVER... with nice waffle cones too. After our buffet lunch we walked around and headed to the Shark Reef exhibit. Saw some pretty cool things, but since I have the attention span of a little child, I stopped listening to my handheld and just walked around looking at the exhibits. (That made me end my tour quite quickly... which was not a good thing...) Saw the biggest sting ray EVER, which was kind of cool and gross at the same time. Got to pet some weird looking fish that was super scale-y and got to purchase a picture of me, Chris, and Christy. Since Chris was wearing green and we took the picture in front of a green screen, Chris' body was transformed into the background... muahahaa.. it looks like he has a floating head... quite funny!

After that we headed back to the room where we took naps again. Woke up and got ready to go eat at Lawry's. Had some very yummy food and then we went back to the room to change into something more comfy and walked over to the Bellagio to watch "O." Got Chris a vodka/tonic... and me and Christy got the YUMMIEST Strawberry slush EVER. And I mean... EVER! It was so tasty. Anyway.. the show was very good and I kept wondering how those damn people held their breathe so long in the water! It was even more amazing that they had a live band and singers throughout the entire show! That was cool! Then I think we went to Bill's Casino or something and gambled a bit. I won some money at the Wheel of Fortune slots... and then we headed back to our hotel where we got some chicken salad sandwiches at "Nosh." Ate them and then fell asleep.

Las Vegas 05.27

Sunday:
We slept in and decided that there would be NO tanning today. Got ready, checked out... got our usual coffee downstairs and waited for Chris to pick us up. Headed out to Wynn to have their buffet brunch, which was by far the BEST of the whole weekend. Had a made to order omelette with fresh salsa and guacamole (and I dislike guacamole but this was sooooo good!), chicken noodle soup, some other random stuff, homemade coconut ice cream & mango sorbet with toasted almonds, croissants, coffee, annnnnd some other stuff I don't remember. But it was yummy!

After that Chris dropped Christy and me off at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood where Christy and I shopped at Sephora forever... bought some stuff... met up with Chris and then walked the rest of the shopping center. Bought some shoes at Aldo, went to MetroPark where Christy got a cute dress... and Victoria's Secret for some undies since I got a gift card for my bday. After that we went to drop Christy off at the airport. Then stopped at Terrible's to get some gas, energy drinks, soda, chips, and candy for the fun ride home. Slept as usual... then ate dinner at Legends before Chris dropped me off.

Las Vegas 05.28

Today:
Slept in until 2pm but was awaken at noon to use the restroom. Then I went online, ate lunch, and just sat around until 5pm. Read some magazines... and fell BACK to sleep from 5:20pm until 7:20pm. Took a shower and headed out to Chris'. Went to Pinkberry, the gas station and Walgreens. After that, we watched the rest of Miss Universe (woo~hoo to Miss Japan who won!) Then came home to do some laundry and update my blog.

Not feeling work tomorrow. Don't want to go... wish I could be on vacation forever!!! :-)

Barfing sucks....

So I got sick on Monday morning. I woke up at 3:30am and had to run to the bathroom just in case I threw up. I didn't EXACTLY barf... but I did go through the motions of barfing... just nothing came out except spit. Gross huh??? So I slept in the bathroom on the floor for a couple of hours and then I called out from work and slept in my bed until 1:30pm. Then, I woke up and decided to get a manicure and pedicure since I knew that I wouldn't have time before Vegas. Even though I was still feeling nauseous, I got out of bed, showered and just headed out to the mall for my appointment. After that I went to Whole Foods where I bought some chicken noodle soup for dinner.

Then Chris came and picked me up and we went to Old Town to go shopping for some Vegas gear. He got 2 pairs of shorts and I got 1. We headed to Target, our favorite place EVER, and got some cat litter and essentials.

Today I woke up and went to work. My mom and sister totally love waking me up in the morning! I hate it! Argh... I get cranky when I am rudely woken up. Oh well. I bet they will do it again tomorrow. I started packing for Vegas already! I'm almost done too! I just have to add some last minute stuff like toilettries and junk like that, but other than that... I'm done! woo~hoo! I did realize that I do not have any "clubbing" gear aka "hoochie" clothing. Not like I really need it because I don't even know if we'll be going clubbing... but just in case. OR maybe even to a bar... either way... I want a cute outfit... but I don't have anything! I have way too much work clothing and shoes and not enough going out clothing. Maybe I should start getting stuff like that instead of work clothes. Oh... and I have no hoochie shoes... just work shoes that are all conservative and stuff. I can't wear things like that to Vegas! Oh well... I'm giving myself spending money for Vegas and I guess THAT is what I will be buying.... a cute top/dress and maybe some shoes... if I have to.
